Tuesday, July 7th, 2009This is not Martial Arts Related, I like mountain hiking. This is a video slide show of my 2007 summer hiking trip with my girlfriend. Together we hiked over 40 mountains. These trails are in Maine and New Hampshire. Including the Mahoosuc Range, Killkenny Ridge Trail, Some Presidential Mountains, and the Grafton Loop Trail.

Drill Baby Drill EP. 2: Reap The World Wind
Monday, July 6th, 2009Sanford was right. This must be a “world wind” (one of the unintentionally hilarious typos from Sanford’s sexy emails). A mistress that he totally loooves, plus all these other women he made out with or something but didn’t cross the “sex line,” plus the wife back home…it frankly sounds more exhausting than titillating. And personally, [...]

The Amalfi Coast; on the “Ferriere” trail
Saturday, July 4th, 2009A trail from Amalfi takes the hiker far and high into the surrounding mountains. The first few kilometers follow a gorge where ancient ruins used to be paper mills.

Kilauea Iki Trail, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park
Thursday, July 2nd, 2009Perhaps the finest short day hike in the park, a four-mile, 2-3 hour trip down into, across and back out of Kilauea Iki Crater gives one an intimate feel for volcanoes, Hawaiian-Style. Crossing the crater floor on this surface provides one of the most interesting hikes in the Park. Looking up from the bottom of [...]

Carpentersville Illinois Fox River Trail Biking Hiking Path
Tuesday, June 30th, 2009The Fox River Trail is a paved bike path in Northern Illinois west of Chicago. On July 5, 2008 we began in Carpentersville at Otto Engineering on Main St. On the east bank, from just below the Carpentersville Dam, we went rollerblading and bicycling north on a 4.5 mile section of the trail. Cycling out [...]
Hatchets for survival and hiking on the Appalachian Trail
Monday, June 29th, 2009My small collection of hatchets. My daughter inspired me to do this video, as she was reading “Hatchet” by Gary Paulson. It is an excellent children’s story on survival, from the Scholastic Book Club.
