First of all, congratulations on making it to Katahdin!!! What a life-changing experience that hike had to have been.
Second–awesome job on the video. It’s one of the best I’ve seen about hiking the AT. I really enjoyed the shots of the privies and shelters. Very well done! Kudos!

go light… if your birthday is soon, dont let coming march/spring weather fool you — pack warm gear, its cold in them-thar-hills. if its summer, check the water reports from mountaincrossings(dot)com. carry a lil bit of duct tape to patch over hot spots on your feet as soon as you feel them — BEFORE they become blisters! umm.. leave no trace…
so many things could be said… i guess the most important is HAVE FUN!

good pictures..was that a black bear peaking around the tree?

not a bad video, but the shots move too fast sometimes, you can’t even see what it is and it’s gone.

hit post too soon, meant to say:
some great pictures in there, took me back to my own thru. It’s neat to see some of the same places through someone else’s perspective. For example, it’s nice to see the view at McAfee, which was in a cloud when I was there.
and personally I think the song works well with the theme of the video/adventure.

If this video doesn’t inspire you, nothing will!
Watch for me on the AT after I finish the GR5/E2 in Europe and biking across the U.S.
I know I can make it. Just have to convince my husband that he needs to accompany me.
