By HikingOn | April 21, 2009
Narrated hike to Grinnell Glacier in Glacier National Park Montana. It’s highly produced and looks like something you’d see on the Travel Channel or National Geographic.

I hiked that rail in the summer of 1980. I was a park employee at East Glacier Park. The one thing that wasnt mentioned is that coming down is also hard as it pulls on your calves! Thanks for posting

Did this hike this summer and loved it. I actually saw sheep at that exact same spot they show them in this video. Not the safest hike though.

I have taken water from a small water fall about 2/3 of the way up the trail. Rangers don’t recomemnd it but I’ve never gotten sick in 12 hikes.
