What are the odds of finding a body hiking in the Angeles Forest, California?

    By HikingOn | April 23, 2009

This is one of the most dangerous forests outside the city of los angeles… Creepy as hell rural mountains of moderate elevation (up to 2800-3300m) that I have driven in the middle of the night. Los Angeles, just by its size produces many murderes. I have always wanted to hike those mountains.
Oh I will take a friend definately… Cougars!

not sure what the odds are for that particular area.

unfortunately, sometimes in life, one does find unpleasant things such as corpses, or have to deal with saving someone's life after a car accident, or seeing your friend get shot and killed in front of you, and other things.

i would say, go ahead and hike the mountains. chances are you wont have any problems. however, if you do find a corpse or injured person, be prepared with a cell phone or other communication method, and try to assist as much as possible to injured people and dont touch anything unnecessarily for a corpse.

i would like to suggest that you actually go with a friend, so that you are not by yourself if you are not prepared yet to see or handle these things.

and in any case, dont go at night. stick to going in daylight hours, so that 1) you can see, and 2) that you dont run into someone else lurking in shadows to do you bad.

i hope that you and your friend go explore the world together, and that you have good time with no ickyness like corpses. but if it happens, stay cool and call authorities, they will deal with it then.
