when will my pit bull start hiking his leg and peeing? also what should his weight be?

he is almost 7 months old and he weighs around 45lbs. also is that a good weight for this dog at this age?

hiking the leg is a learned behavior, not an instinctual one. if he doesn't have reason to do it (like seeing another dog do it, smelling a scent higher up on a pole than he normally could pee his scent over it, or if he's just not an alpha-type dog) then he might never do it.
weight sounds good for his age. he probably won't get a whole lot larger height-wise at this stage (maybe another inch or so) but he should fill out a bit more over the next 6-10 months, gaining another 20 lbs or so.
