I just checked it out quick. Never heard of it but will give it a try. Hopefully I can post longer videos at higher quality there. To get this whole trail it would take about 12 10 minute videos.

The Poto Rocks! This is where I cut my teeth on mountain biking back in the early 90’s. I still come from Toledo to go here. Wish you had some of the technical climbs.

I just got back from a race in Muskegon. As soon as the weather and my schedule cooperate together I will get the whole thing in high quality. THe climbs just don’t look very good or imposing with this goofy low res. Already bought enough 2GB chips to get the whole trail.

Poto is the best! I ride it 3 or more times a week.

um you went the wrong way buddy.
you didn’t get the entire trail, the first intersection you are supposed to turn left for the complete trail. you cut off about 4 or 5 miles. go back and do it again.

yes of course, i know you did not film the entire trail. what i am saying is that you missed a turn, and took a shortcut. you missed about 4 miles of the trail.

Check out my videos. I got the whole trail but it took 21 parts. This was just the highlight version or proof of concept. Perhaps I should edit out the beginning.
Or go over to vimeo I got the entire trail in only three parts.

I’ve walked that trail a hundred times. It runs behind my house. Inconsiderate people on bikes are dangerous to pedestrian traffic. I believe the state should require a bikers IQ to be above plant life before they let them ride the trails.

Umm, you’d have to be traveling 120mph to go 17 miles in 8.35 minutes…

What kind of bike are you using?

Just kind of thrown together. 6000 series trek frame (hardtail), XT cranks, XT peddles, XTR Front/rear derailleur, 2008 Fox F80 forks, Thompson seat post, crossmax st wheels, stock disc brakes and handlebars.
Though I prefer to use my trek 820 steel frame. Seems more stable on the rough parts.

Can a average Joe and a comfort type mountain bike take his 10 year old son with his BMX on this trail?

Sure I see them all the time. Just make sure you have a helmet and good brakes. Don’t go too fast down hill or the ruts might claim a wheel. Walk up the hills. Most of the trail is nice and flat.
My other videos have the whole trail if you want to look at it. About 22 videos in all hehe.
