By HikingOn | April 15, 2009
I have wanted to hike the length of the Appalachian Trail for a long time and am wondering how much money I need to save in order to do it a comfortable way. I would buy new equipment and such…. Anyway any help would be nice.

Get in touch with the Appalachian Trail Conservancy located in Harpers Ferry WV . The ATC is the governing body for the trail and publishes good maps and guide books . Also get in touch with the Appalachian Trail Long Distance Hikers Association ATLDHA – they are a group of people who have hiked the entire AT aka Thru-Hikers. both groups are excellent sources of information.
