I hope to see the video of your hike soon!

Great video. I love hiking and haven’t done it in ages but I do have a good pack that was fitted to my back by a specialist.
Never used Poles but I should get some! I want to plan a few hikes this year. I never been able to figure out foot wear. I always get hideous blisters. I think it’s the sock situation / liner. I need to invest. This has been what’s put me off hiking.

Great Top 10! I have to be honest tho….I’d rather frolick through a field of daisies than hike a mountain. Maybe one day that will change. :p

This is great, Matt! My husband and I want to get into hiking, and boy would we have been unprepared! We bought a book about what to have for our dog, but not for us….. ( :
Favorited for future reference!

Great Video!!
My longest “hike” to date was a two week long wilderness backpacking trip.
You didn’t mention it, but I think it is essential:
Always assume there maybe a possibility of you spending the night in the back-country.
In other words, be prepared for any, and all situations.
:)

Yeah I always had the wrong stuff on my feet in the past. Let me just tell you, if you have the right stuff it makes a world of difference! Worth every dime!

Ah yes, thats a whole other type of hiking. I have plans to actually do some backpacking in the future when I can afford the proper gear needed to do it!
Very good point you bring up! For example my poncho doubles as a shelter, and I have an emergency blanket in my pack as well. It can get cooold up there at night!
