On The Hiking Trail (Pt. 3): THE DEVIL’S TREE

In this third adventurous episode of the series, I park my mountainbike at a friendly inn, after which I wander off over small bushy paths and cow-populated meadows. Yet past the enchanted forest I am mortified by the face of a male goat on an ancient tree and investigate if Satan might be home. After this encounter I keep on cracking jokes, yet when I reach the remote farmer’s village of Bosschenhuizen, there are some bad omens blocking my way… Soundtrack: Fistful of Dollars & Guns Don’t …

In the deep south of the Netherlands… in the very south of the province of Limburg..
Belgium and Germany are close, the particular area you see here is in between the villages of Mingersborg and Simpelveld.
It is indeed a pleasure to walk there!
