Les Stroud always has a whole bunch of stuff or he “finds” it. I like Bear Grylls better. But Les doesnt have a camera crew with him so it limits the things he can do because he has to get the camera angles and shots right.I’m sure Bear’s camera crew has survival equipment though.

survival.. means you get to bring everything you want?? The point is that if your preparations fail, you still have the means to survive. Sorry bud, but you fail. On a heavy day I have half the gear that you have and will show it on video if you have the nuts to compare.

You should probably watch some more of his videos before making a fool of yourself in print. He explains his philosophy very clearly throughout the series. We already have Survivorman and Man Vs. Wild. Nutnfancy is what he is and a lot of us like it.

Everything but the kitchen sink, eh?
Such is the nature of winter camping, though. I hope to see a review of that Cold Steel tomahawk sometime in the future…it’s not exactly your standard piece of gear, but I’ve been wondering about them for a while.
Great video as usual!

March 16th, 2009 at 9:25 pm
you don’t bring any mre with you or some thing to eat when your going hiking in the snow?
March 18th, 2009 at 11:34 pm
Cool stuff man! Your dog is a good one. The only thing I haven’t agreed with so far in your videos is the Wd-40 or the Water Displacement 40th recipe. I have found many winters that aerosol cans loose pressure in cold weather. I would think with all of the precautions one would rather have some oil in a bottle of choice. Cheers man I like to watch your videos and your opinions are cool. Thank you!

Wow, you really take a lot of stuff with you! Must be a pain in the ass to carry, but I can see how it would all come in handy.
