He was moving pretty fast. I wonder how light he got his pack.
I’ll never go hiking without a filter. I guess he want the extra protein in his water. He doesn’t seem to eat anything except GORP.

Skurka hikes pretty fast. Look at how little time it took him to blow through his A.T. thru-hike. I have a lot of respect for Andy, but I’m more of a “take the time to smell the roses” kind of a hiker. I can’t imagine taking less than 3 months to do the A.T. thru-hike; I mean, hiking isn’t a competitive sport.

as a thru-hiker i say go, getting lost in foot placement is the best mindset one can be in, get lost in your head.
